In germany the recommended age increased from 0 to 6 while in the UK the new game is rated PEGI 7, while previous games where rated PEGI 3. In the US it stayed with 'E for Everyone' though.

Quoting the german USK for reasons to classify a game for age 6 instead of 0:
"These games are predominantly family-friendly games that may already be more exciting and competitive - for example, through higher game speed and more complex game tasks. These include, for example, fast-paced racing games, build-up strategy games, as well as adventure and role-playing games."
What PEGI has to say about PEGI 7:
"Game content with scenes or sounds that can possibly frightening to younger children should fall in this category. Very mild forms of violence (implied, non-detailed, or non-realistic violence) are acceptable for a game with a PEGI 7 rating."
